Countries involved:
Allies - Great Britain (Opposing Forces) United States (both)
Axis - German Heer (both) German Waffen (both)
Since those are the main ones, we can also break it down to specific units, such as the Polish Paratroopers who served under the UK.
Then the armies will be under a supreme commander for organizational purposes:
Allies - Allied Supreme Commander Axis - Reichsführer (Waffen)/General-Feldmarschall (Heer) which is Field Marshall in English.
Then the normal ranks would be as follow: Axis Waffen/Heer Reichsführer/General-Feldmarschall Oberstgruppen-Führer/General Obergruppenführer/Generaloberst Obergruppenführer/Generalleutnant Brigadeführer/Generalmajor Oberführer/Oberst
Allies Field Marshall/General of the Army General/General Lieutenant General/Lieutenant General Major General/Major General Brigadier/Brigadier General Colonel/Colonel
Now the organization of an unit is this: Army - Lead by O-9 and above. Corps - Lead by O-7 and above. Division - Lead by O-6 and above.
An Army break down would be - 2 Corps per Army with unlimited Divisions.
Example: 3rd US Army is lead by General Otto, it would have Major General Backster leading the 1st Corps and Lieutenant General Doe leading the 2nd Corps, with Colonel Wu leading a Division.

We should also have Enlisted ranks or not?

I was thinking about it, but dont know how it would work since it is typically Officers that are leading the units with the exception of Squad Leaders.

yeah but like if your new to the entire thing you could be a newly conscripted private or private first class and then with enough victories and experience you rank up throughout the campaign.

I was thinking to do that with the Officer, like have a 2nd Lt as a training/new guy and move him up. Or start them off at Lt Col or Col. Keep posting ideas and lets get more ppl into it!

I was thinking about dividing the Divisons into this:
Ex: 3rd Ranger Battalion 1 Infantry, 1 Armor, and 1 Airborne.

Trying to keep it a bit simple, but we can break it down even more if you guys want.

If we are going to do: Army - title Corps - title Division - playable Company - playable
Then we should cut the ranks to fit those positions. So a Generals controls Army and Corps, Colonel and Major gets the Division, and Captain gets the Company. Of course only Divisions and Companys are action units, so those above will have their own Division or HQ they command as well as the people beneath them.
